sanzhi trip

Here are our own pictures taken from our trip to Sanzhi...

I tried to let Jade feel the sand (and hoped she would love it), unfortunately, she did not welcome the feeling this new experience brought her. Instead, it caused her to panic and somehow brought her bad dreams that night.

I enjoyed the sand myself.
After her bad experience, Jade pouted all the time we were in the seaside. She cling on to both her Dad and me.
She started to smile and get back to a conversational mood when we went to the bicycle path. I was able to make her walk this time.

Mother and child

We were heading to the seashore when I saw a child (~1year old baby I think) playing in the sand. His legs were covered with sand and he seemed to be enjoying it. He was not wearing pants, only diaper. When his mother started to get him out from the sand, he resisted and started to cry. Eventually, his parents were able to carry him out from the sand after few minutes.

Having seen the child enjoy the sand, I also tried to let Jade have a feel of it but it turned out that she did not like the feeling as it was unfamiliar to her feet and caused her to panic and hang on to us for the rest of the beach walk.

Reflection

It's been a while since my last post. Work and motherhood have kept me busy all these time. We had a 3-day holiday from work (for people to go to there summer holidays) which gave me time to catch up some sleep and go out with my family.

Yesterday, we went to Sanzhi town, 10 mins. bus ride away from home, to stroll in the beach side. We also took this chance to try our newly bought digicam (Canon IXUS 850IS) and among all those picture taken, so far, the picture shown in this post is what we considered the best =).

Dennis suggested the caption to be "Nakasilip ang Diyos!". It sounds terribly corny but it was really the first thing he thought when he saw the outcome.

Seriously, the outcome of the shot amazed me in a way that it made me think of the beauty of nature. We'll try to explore more of the digicam and have the good ones posted here. :)

Jade at 11 months

Time flies so fast. Jade is already 11 mos. old. Few days from now, she will be blowing her 1st birhtday cake =). She has grown up in her own pace and would soon be seen running around the house.

We practice her walking by letting her sit in a small chair and call her to come to us. In most times, she takes 2 to 3 steps, at other times, she takes one giant step and at other times, she turns to the wall and walks sideways. =)

When she's playing in her crib and accidentally falls, there are times that she doesn't get up quickly but instead lay there lazily.

She enjoys the slide.
She eats biscuit/cookie by herself. Seeing the pattern during her mealtime, she also feeds us in her own way. :)

She plays "pass the ball" with either Dennis or me, a game her dad enjoys with her.
