The night is still and silent.
The moon gives off a cold white light.
There is a chill in the air,
But she doesn't feel it.
She is inside, asleep in her bed.
The moonlight shines through her window,
Illuminating her in its cold white light.
The moonlight lays across her pillow,
And caresses her cheek.
She is sleeping peacefully.
The calm of the night is upon her.
As I stand there and watch her sleeping,
I wonder--
What figures dance through her moonlit dreams?
